System Overview
The Rock Tour Behavior System leverages a high-energy "World Tour" metaphor designed specifically to respect a middle school student's autonomy. By packaging behavioral metrics as professional gig targets (Crowd Safety, Vocal Harmony, In the Groove), we eliminate patronizing cues and engage students through shared creative collaboration.
1. Rig & Stage Setup
Identify Gigs: Divide the schedule into 8 distinct daily tracking blocks (individual class periods, subjects, or critical transit windows).Mount Stage Cards: Cut and laminate the Desk Visual Reminders . Tape them to the student's desk as a high-contrast monitor deck.Build Reward Contract: Define an Encore Score target (usually 38-40 points) to unlock daily or weekly high-value stage rewards.
2. Launching the Tour
Backstage Briefing: Sit down with the student. Explain that they are the lead rockstar and you are the supportive Stage Director.Calibration: Roleplay behaviors corresponding to ratings of 2 (Headliner), 1 (Opening Act), and 0 (Sound Check needed).De-stigmatize: Frame "1" and "0" marks as active stage adjustments rather than failures. It's about staying in the rhythm.

When giving 2s:
"That was an absolute stadium performance! Your stage focus was stellar. Solid 2s across the board. Let's keep that rhythm going!"
When giving 1s:
"We had a slight pitch issue mid-show with on-task focus, but you corrected the tempo quickly. That's a 1. I know you can dial it in."
When giving 0s:
"System disconnect during that set. I had to redirect stage boundaries multiple times. That's a 0. Let's reboot the sound board for Gig 5."
DIRECTOR INSTRUCTION: Ensure check-ins are brief, completely objective, and occur at the exact conclusion of the designated block. Do not use point reductions as threats mid-period (e.g. "That's a point off!"). Perform evaluations only during the scheduled feedback session.

De-escalate quickly. Do not debate the point. Keep comments non-negotiable and focused strictly on the facts. "I hear you, but I saw three instances of stage boundary interference. The data is logged. Let's aim for a flawless set next gig."
