Exit Criteria
Student must achieve a Score of 4 (Mastered) on the following core safety skills for 3 consecutive days:
Chromebook Login (Independent)
Digital Hall Pass creation
Student must achieve a Score of 3 or higher on all Canvas and PowerSchool navigation tasks.
SLIFE Strategies
Visual Anchor Method
Align the icons across all materials. The icons on the slides must match the icons on the passport and the student's screen.
Think-Aloud Modeling
Verbalize specific navigational decisions: "I am in PowerSchool. I want to see my missing work. I look for the red 'Missing' dot."
Admin Note
Keep the Passport in the student's active file until all categories are stamped. Submit post-assessment data to the intervention lead weekly.

Digital Literacy Intervention for SLIFE Students
Lesson 1: Chromebook Login
Objective: Students will independently log into a school Chromebook using their credentials.
Instructional Steps
1. I Do: Model opening the laptop. Point to the username field. Type the student ID slowly, naming each number. Show the password field. Point to the "eye" icon to show the password.
2. We Do: Provide student login cards. Guide students to type the first 3 digits together. Circulate and check keys.
Teacher Tips
● Use physical "Login Cards" with large font.
● Color-code the 'Enter' key on the keyboard with a small sticker if students struggle to find it.
● Watch for CAPS LOCK errors.
Lesson 2: ClassLink & Pass
Objective: Students will navigate the portal and create a digital hall pass.
Instructional Steps
1. I Do: Show the "Blue Cloud" (ClassLink). Click the "Pass" icon. Show how to type the teacher's last name in the search bar. Click the Bathroom icon.
2. You Do: Students must create a pass to the "Main Office" and then "End" the pass. Repeat 3 times for muscle memory.

● Icon: The small picture for the app.
● Search: Looking for a name.
Lesson 3: Canvas Mastery
Objective: Students will locate current assignments and identify missing work in Canvas.
Instructional Steps
1. Dashboard: Teach students to find the colorful boxes. Each box is a class. Click "English."
2. Finding Work: Use the "Modules" or "Assignments" link. Model scrolling to the bottom to find the current date.
3. Missing Work: Click the "Grades" link on the left menu. Look for the red "Missing" label.

Lesson 4: PowerSchool Grades
Objective: Students will check overall grades and upcoming deadlines.
Instructional Steps
1. Navigation: Click the PowerSchool icon. Locate the "Grades and Attendance" screen.
2. Interpretation: Explain that a percentage is like a temperature. High = Good. Low = Needs Work. Show the "Assignments" tab for detailed lists.
