1. Task (task)
Connects to: Equipment
Meaning: A single piece of work or duty that you are assigned to complete.
Job Sentence: "My first morning task is organizing the supply cart."

This lesson bridges foundational recognition of 6 core workplace terms (Schedule, Update, Equipment, Training, Meeting, Request ) to authentic employment application, while gently introducing 8 functional expansion words. Layouts prioritize high contrast, uncluttered visual fields, and multi-modal responsiveness for students with extensive support needs.
Suggested Instructional Flow (45–60 Minutes)

Warm-Up & Visual Anchor Review (10–12 min)
Project Slide Deck Slides 1–4. Present concrete objects (realia) alongside icons: a physical schedule card, safety goggles/apron (equipment), clipboard/tablet (update/request). Model finger-pointing and verbal imitation.

Interactive Scenario Check & Expansion (15–18 min)
Facilitate Slide 5 (Which Word Fits?) using physical response cards, AAC switches, or pointing boards. Preview Slide 6 and pass out the Vocabulary Expansion Reference Guide .
