1. Welcome and Greeting (3 minutes)
Teacher Says: "Good morning, everyone! I see some wonderful, smiling faces ready to start our day. Let's make sure we're all sitting comfortably and quietly in our circle."
*Pause for students to settle.*
Teacher Says: "[Student 1's Name], good morning! I'm so happy you're here. [Student 2's Name], good morning to you too!"
*Continue greeting a few students individually, making eye contact and smiling.*
Teacher Says: "Now, let's all give a big group 'Good Morning!' to everyone here. Ready? One, two, three, 'Good Morning, Class!'"
*Encourage students to echo.*
Teacher Says: "Great job! Please turn to the friend next to you, look them in the eyes, and say, 'Good morning, friend!'"
2. Share and Connect (5 minutes)
Teacher Says: "Alright, friends, it's time for our 'Share and Connect' moment. Today, I want to hear: What's one thing you're looking forward to today? It could be a class activity, something at home, or even a yummy snack!"
Teacher Says: "I'll go first! I'm really looking forward to our art project later today. I love seeing all your creative ideas!"
*Gesture for the next student to share, or call on students. Provide gentle prompts if a student struggles.*
Teacher Says: "Thank you for sharing, [Student's Name]! That sounds fun!"
*Keep responses brief and positive. Remind students it's okay to pass if they don't want to share.*
3. Calendar and Schedule Review (4 minutes)
*Point to the date on the Morning Circle Slides or a classroom calendar.*
Teacher Says: "Who can tell me what day of the week it is today? That's right, it's [Day of the Week]! And the date is [Date]."
*Look outside or refer to a weather chart.*
Teacher Says: "What's the weather like out there today? Is it sunny? Rainy? Cloudy? Yes, it looks like [Weather Condition]."
Teacher Says: "Now, let's see what exciting things we have planned for our day!"
*Point to the schedule on the slides.*
Teacher Says: "First, after our morning meeting, we have [Activity 1]. Then we will move to [Activity 2]. After that, it's [Activity 3], and finally [Activity 4]. Remember, when we transition, we will use our walking feet and quiet voices."
4. Quick Activity & Wrap-Up (3 minutes)
Teacher Says: "To get our bodies and brains ready, let's do a quick warm-up together. We're going to do our Daily Check-in Warm-Up today!"
*Lead the warm-up activity as outlined in the reference sheet.*
