Program Code
VB-REC-01
Objective
The student will independently report a past event (within 1 hour) by identifying the Who , What , and Where in a complete sentence or phrase.
Materials
"Daily Scoop" Visual Prompt Cards
Daily Scoop Tracker Data Sheet
Reinforcers (Highly preferred)
Natural transition points
Instructional Procedure
1
Establish the SD
Approach the student immediately following an event. Present visuals and ask: "Give me the scoop! What did you just do?"
2
Prompting Hierarchy (M-to-L)
FE: Full Echoic + Visual: Point and say, "I (Who) played ball (What) in the gym (Where)."
PE: Partial Echoic + Visual: Point to "Who" (I...), then "What" (Played...).
V: Visual Only: Point to the prompt cards sequentially without speaking.
3
Reinforcement & Correction
Correct
"Great scoop! You played ball in the gym!"
+ Reinforcer.
Incorrect
Provide 0-sec delay echoic prompt. Re-state SD and prompt full answer.
Mastery Criteria
80%
Independence over 3 consecutive days.
3+
Across three different environments.
2+
Across at least two different staff.

ABA Program: Event Reporting (LAMP Strategy)
Program Code
AAC-SCOOP-01
Objective
The student will independently report a past event using their LAMP device by navigating to Who + What + Where within 60 minutes of the activity.
Motor Planning
Prioritize consistent hits. Use ALM on a secondary device to model pathways without overriding student motor access.
Instructional Procedure
1
SD & Context
Immediately post-activity, ensure the device is at "Home". Ask: "What's the scoop? What did you do?" while pointing to the visual strip.
2
AAC Prompting Hierarchy (L-to-M)
1. Expectant Wait: Provide 15 seconds of silence/processing.
2. Visual Cue: Tap the "Who" icon on the reference strip.
3. Partial ALM: Model only the start icon (e.g., "I") on your own device.
4. Full ALM: Model the entire multi-hit sequence for the full report.
3
Reinforcement
Success
"You used your words! You ate in the cafe!"
Error
Gently reset to Home. Provide a gestural model for the first icon.
Mastery Criteria
80%
Independence over 5 consecutive sessions.
3+
Across different activities (Lunch, Gym, Music).
100%
Accuracy in 3rd hit motor selection.

Staff Reminder: LAMP Principles
• Wait: AAC processing takes significantly longer. Give space.
• Aided Language Modeling: Model the *pathway* on your own device.
• Avoid Physicals: Avoid hand-over-hand; it disrupts motor planning development.
