Phase 1: Pre-Flight Briefing (5-7 mins)
Ms. Sackel’s Script: "I’m Ms. Sackel. I’m your Speech teacher today and I'm happy to be here with you. I'm going to write my name on this tag so you can remember it. This is my pet bunny Jack (Show Image). Rabbits are my favorite because they are soft and friendly."
Crew Intro: Go around the table. Students introduce themselves, name a favorite animal, and put on name tags. Clinical Note: Emphasize that using visuals/writing is a great way to remember data.
Mission Framing: Explain roles. "We are the Artemis II crew. We are working together to launch Orion into the Moon's orbit. The adults in the room are Mission Control ; they help us succeed from the background."

Phase 2: Code of Conduct (3 mins)
Rule #1: Teamwork
The Crew is a Team. Only encouraging words allowed for mission success. Treat each other with respect.
Rule #2: Listening
Space Radio Rule. Holder is the speaker; others are listeners. Excellent listeners do not interrupt.
Rule #3: Problems
Communicate. Calmly ask the commander for help with mission problems. We solve them together.

Phase 3: Trajectory Mastery (15 mins)
Activity Setup
The Board: Earth at bottom, Moon at top. 10 "Boost" zones with vocabulary words pre-affixed.The Turn: Student 1 takes the Space Radio and opens a "Mission Fuel Cell" envelope.The Process:
Commander shows the Sentence Log card/slide.
Student reads the sentence (with help as needed).
Student reveals the 3 choices from the envelope and picks the meaning.
Student asks "The Crew" for a verification check if needed.
Affix the meaning to the board and move the Artemis II spacecraft icon up.
Repeat for all 10 words until reaching the Moon orbit. Pass the radio and envelopes to ensure equal participation.
