Weekly 15-Min Lesson Routine
1
Connect & Listen (3 min)
Start with a warm high-five. Listen to how their week went. Build safety and trust by letting them share their favorite thing about school.
2
Read Classroom Superpowers (4 min)
Read "Super Learner Adventure Slides" to review core skills: Listening Ears, Helpful Hands, Walking Feet, and Asking for Help.
3
Active Roleplay practice (5 min)
Practice the physical actions in the **Roleplay Toolkit** on the right. Help the student feel comfortable using calm body and verbal choices.
4
Interactive sorting Sheet (3 min)
Do the "Super Learner Choice Sorting Sheet" worksheet together. Focus on direct behavior education (no points, no trackers, just learning).
Co-Regulation Connection
Kindergarteners don't fully self-regulate yet. They learn how to stay calm by mimicking your steady posture, slow breathing, and soft, comforting tone of voice.
Roleplay Toolkit
1: Listening Ears
Pretend to play blocks. Ring a bell: "Time for work!" Practice stopping immediately, looking at mentor, and folding hands.
2: Helpful Hands
Scribble a drawing: "Oh no! It's ruined!" Model squeezing hands together tight to control mad energy, then releasing.
3: Walking Feet
Practice walking slowly side-by-side in your room. Model staying inside a taped-out "safe line" on the floor.
4: Asking for Help
Give a hard puzzle. Practice raising a hand and saying: "Can you help me?" or "I need a break."
Teacher Connection
β’ Keep "My Classroom Superpowers Card" visible on their desk.
β’ Say: "Where are your helpful hands?" for a quick cue.
