Part 1: The Morning
Good Morning, School!
I go to school from Monday to Friday. My school day starts at 8:00 and ends at 3:30. In the morning, I ride the school bus to school. When I arrive, I walk into my classroom and say a big "Good morning!" to my teachers: Ms. Owens, Ms. McKoy, and Ms. Gibbs!
My Morning Checklist
First, I hang my coat and backpack on my hook. Next, I take out my school folder and my lunchbox. Putting my things away keeps our classroom neat and ready!
I put my things away quickly and quietly. Now my workspace is clean. I am safe, settled, and ready to learn and play with my teachers and classmates!
My Personal Goal:
I will sit nicely on the school bus and walk straight to my cubby when I arrive.
Part 2: Our Schedule
Our Daily Activities
When we hear our classroom signal, we gather on the big rug. This is called Morning Circle! I sit with a calm body, ready to listen to my teachers.
What is Coming Next?
1. Circle Time Songs & Day Plan
2. Learn Time Reading & Math
3. Sensory & Life Sensory & Handwash
4. Lunch Time Eat & Clean Up
We do fun sensory play and daily living activities! We wash our hands, practice zipper skills, and play with calming sensory toys. These activities help my body feel relaxed, strong, and ready for work!
When my teacher is talking, I use my **listening ears** and keep my eyes on them. If I want to talk, I **raise my hand** and wait my turn.
My Personal Goal:
I will wash my hands and clean my sensory toys when I am finished playing.
Part 3: Lunch & Go Home
Lunch Time & Home
After working hard, it is time for lunch! I eat my yummy food and talk quietly with my classmates. Eating helps fuel my body for the rest of our school day.
My Lunchroom Checklist
- I stay in my seat while eating.
- I use a quiet, polite table voice.
- I clean up my trash when I am finished.
At the end of the day, we pack up. I clean my desk. I put my crayons away and tuck in my chair. Then I pack my bag.
I ride the school bus safely back home. I wave goodbye to my friends and my teachers. I feel happy because I did my very best today!
My Personal Goal:
I will pack all my papers and sit calmly in my bus seat on the ride home.
Part 4: Class Rules
Rules Keep Us Happy!
Rules help our classroom stay happy and safe! They make sure everyone can learn and play together in a nice way.
1. Kind Hands & Feet
I keep my hands and feet to myself. I use nice words like "please" and "thank you." This keeps everyone safe.
2. Listening Ears
When my teacher or a classmate is talking, I listen. I look at them to show respect. This helps me learn!
3. Soft Inside Voices
Inside the classroom, I use a quiet voice so we can think. I speak softly with my teachers and friends.
Following rules makes our classroom a wonderful place to learn and play!
My Personal Goal:
I will use my quiet inside voice today while working at my desk.
