Week 4 of the Regulated Classrooms PD. Teachers learn quick somatic reset routines, focusing on Box Breathing and 4-7-8 breathing techniques to down-regulate student nervous systems during high-stakes transitions.

Transition Tuners

Week 5 of the Regulated Classrooms PD. Teachers learn the science behind brain breaks and implement quick cognitive-physical transition exercises, such as the "5-4-3-2-1" somatic routine, to refocus middle school minds.

Reflect and Reset

Week 6 of the Regulated Classrooms PD. Teachers learn how to guide middle schoolers in metacognitive energy monitoring (using three-speed checkpoints) and run private self-correction resets.

Calm Communication

Week 7 of the Regulated Classrooms PD. Teachers learn the science of paraverbal communication and implement immediate de-escalation techniques (such as tone adjustment and body posturing) to de-escalate heightened classroom moments.

Reset Spaces

Week 8 of the Regulated Classrooms PD. Teachers learn the environmental science of de-escalation and implement non-punitive, structured calm-down corners (Peace Corners) with explicit timers, sensory tools, and self-directed instruction sheets.

Repair Conversations

Week 9 of the Regulated Classrooms PD. Teachers learn the restorative practice of "closing the loop" post-incident, using simple restorative conversations to repair relationship trust and welcome students back without resentment.
