Teacher Script: "Architects! Imagine building a bridge with only one beam. What happens when a truck drives on it? Crash! A sentence is just like a sturdy building. If it only has an action or only a person, it collapses into a fragment ! Today, we become Master Sentence Architects."
Multi-Sensory Hook: Show a physical tower of blocks missing its middle foundation to demonstrate structural collapse.

Introduce the formula on the board: [WHO] + [DOING WHAT] + [WHERE] + [. (Anchor Bolt)].

4 Hands-On Studio Activity: "Blueprint Assembly" (15 Mins) Pairs / Stations
Task: In architect pairs, students receive the Sentence Blueprint Mat and a deck of color-coded cards.Step A: Student A draws a WHO brick; Student B draws a DOING WHAT beam and a WHERE site pad.Step B: Partners connect the 3 pieces physically on the blueprint track and rehearse reading it aloud.Step C: Both partners record their manufactured sentence onto their worksheet lines, circling the period with a red pencil.
5 Independent Clinic: "Structural Repair Inspection" (10 Mins) Independent Work
Students work independently on the Sentence Construction Studio Worksheet . They diagnose broken sentence fragments, determine which color beam collapsed, and insert the missing piece to pass building code inspection.

Students build sentences using blank cards to write their own custom Who, Action, and Where words before writing complete complex sentences.
Tier 2: Targeted Support
Provide pre-printed card deck with visual icon cues on each card. Give sentence starter frames with 1 missing color component at a time.

Use physical velcro mat. Limit choices to 2 options per slot. Pair oral speech-to-text recording or teacher scribe after oral construction.
