This guide anchors the Classroom Galaxy story and Solar System Countdown to developmental transition goals for a 5-year-old.
1. Planetary Pacing
Gravitational Anchoring: A child's 1:1 adult acts as their gravitational center. To prevent "drifting," use the countdown daily to show that while the co-pilot is changing, the "Classroom Galaxy" remains in a stable orbit.
Fact-Based Confidence: Use the planetary facts on the worksheet as conversational bridges. "Jupiter is big and brave—just like you were when we walked to lunch today!"
2. Reading the Galaxy Map
The Classroom Galaxy Story identifies safe "planets" in the room. This reinforces that safety is tied to the location and the routine, not just the person.
