Option A: Standard Resolution
"Hi [Teacher], the referral for [Student] from [Date] has been resolved. I met with the student and [briefly state consequence/action]. Their Skyward entry is updated and closed. Thank you for handling the classroom portion—I've got it from here!"
Option B: Restorative/CD Focus
"Hi [Teacher], I met with [Student] to process the incident from earlier. We used a [Safe Place/Reflection/Reteach] structure. They are ready to return to your school family. I’ve updated the Skyward record. Let’s touch base later if you need more support."
3
The Messaging "One-Liner"
If your staff uses a messaging app (Slack, GroupMe, etc.), simply send the student's name + a checkmark emoji: "Justin Smith ✅" . This signifies the loop is closed without needing a long write-up.
Clear Communication = Predictable Culture.
