Ensure projector/screen is set up for the slide deck.

Warm-Up: Number Scramble
Begin with a quick warm-up to activate prior knowledge. Ask students to shout out numbers they see around the classroom (e.g., "How many windows?", "How many pencils?"). Introduce the concept of learning numbers in a focused, ninja-like way.

Intro to DTI & Numbers (Slides 1-3)
Use the slide deck to introduce DTI components (Antecedent, Behavior, Consequence).
Explain that today we will use DTI to learn numbers.
Show initial slides explaining DTI in simple, game-like terms.
03 15 MIN
Guided Practice: DTI with Numbers (Slides 4-6)
Demonstrate DTI with numbers 1-5 using flashcards. Follow the script for clear examples:

Warm-Up: Number Scramble (5 min)
"Good morning, future mathematicians! Let's get our brains warmed up. Look around the room. Can you spot any numbers? Shout them out!"
Pause for responses. Acknowledge the numbers students find.
"Great observations! Numbers are everywhere, aren't they? Today, we're going on a special mission to become 'Number Ninjas' and master identifying numbers 1 through 5 using a super cool learning strategy!"

Introduction to DTI (5 min)
Advance to Slide 1: Let's Count On It!
"Look at our first slide! It says 'Let's Count On It!' and 'Welcome to our Number Adventure!' That's exactly what we're doing today. We're going to learn a trick to make learning numbers really stick!"
Advance to Slide 2: What's DTI?
"This trick is called DTI, which stands for Discrete Trial Instruction. It sounds fancy, but it just means learning in clear, small steps. Think of it like a game with three simple parts."
"First, the Teacher Asks something, like 'What number is this?' (That's the 'antecedent'). Then, You Respond, by saying the number (that's the 'behavior'). And finally, the Teacher Cheers! You get praised, or a high-five, or a 'great job!' (That's the 'consequence')."

Guided Practice: Numbers 1-5 (15 min)
Advance to Slide 4: Our Focus Numbers. Hold up #1 Flashcard.
"Alright, Number Ninjas! Our mission today is to master these numbers: 1, 2, 3, 4, and 5. Let's start with number 1! Ready?"
