Tools for Deconstruction
Observation
Notice the thought without judging it as "true." Just label it: "I am having the thought that I am a failure."
Evidence Check
Is this thought a fact or a feeling? What is the evidence that this is actually true vs. my brain feeling stressed?
Reframing
Swap the judgment for a mechanical explanation. "I'm bad" becomes "My sensory system was overloaded."

Why does this matter?
