1. SSD Portal Access & Weekly Roster Verification
The Services for Students with Disabilities (SSD) portal is the single source of truth for weekend SAT accommodations. Access is granted via College Board professional accounts and must be verified weekly leading up to test day.
STEP 1
Log In & Select Role
Ensure your profile has the "SSD Coordinator" role activated for your school code.
STEP 2
Generate NAR Roster
From the Dashboard, click "Non-Standard Administration Report (NAR)" to print roster.
STEP 3
Cross-Check & Match
Match student registrations with Portal listings to isolate and resolve pending approvals early.
Coordinator Checklist (T-Minus 14 to Test Day)
Verify all student accommodations show "Approved".
Confirm non-standard paper materials are delivered.
Print latest NAR exactly 48 hours prior to test day.
Assign distinct room numbers for extended time rooms.
2. Standard Accommodation Codes & Digital Flags
Ensure every student is assigned to the correct test environment based on the code system in the SSD portal. Incorrect assignments will invalidate digital and paper testing scores.

Critical Verification Warning
Do not assume a student's standard school accommodations transfer automatically. A student must have a College Board approved SSD ID number. Verify that the "Approved" column in your roster has an active, valid SSD code matching the student's digital test package.

3. Extended Time & Timing Structure Matrix
Accommodated timing structures are rigidly enforced. Proctors must strictly adhere to the designated timing blocks. Below are the definitive timing splits for Reading & Writing and Math sections.

Rigid Multi-Day Testing Rules
- Consecutive Testing: Multi-day testing must occur on consecutive scheduled testing days (Saturday and Sunday).
- No Self-Pacing: Students cannot move to Module 2 of a section early, even if they finish early. They must sit for full time.
- Locking Devices: All student devices used for digital testing must be fully exited and shut down between testing days.
4. Testing Room Setup & Proctor Placement
Physical Room Configurations
- Seating Distance: All desks must face same direction and be placed exactly 4 feet apart (minimum).
- Room Separation: Standard, 50% extended, and 100% extended students must never share a physical room.
- Private Rooms: Required for "Reader Approved", "Scribe Approved", or "Breaks as Needed" settings.
Accommodated Ratios & Staffing
- Proctor Ratios: Standard classroom limits apply. 1 proctor per 10 students for high-accommodation settings is best.
- Double Time Staffing: Double Time is spread over 2 days; ensure proctor contracts support weekend/Sunday coverage.
5. Portal Troubleshooting & Hotlines
Common Portal Issues
Student missing from NAR:
Verify matching portal and registration emails. Submit "Roster Merge" in the SSD portal.
Pending status on test-day eve:
For temporary injuries, file "Temporary Accommodations Form" immediately. Do not test without formal clearance.
