Phase-by-Phase Mission Execution
1
Detective Academy Induction (10 Minutes)
Swear in students as "Direction Detectives" who must listen closely to solve "classroom missions". Introduce Sequence Words (First, Next, Then, Last) and pair each word with a physical hand movement.
1. First (Finger 1) 2. Next (Finger 2) 3. Then (Finger 3) 4. Last (Fist down)
2
Agent Skills Modeling: "The 3 Eyes" (10 Minutes)
Display Mission Briefing Slides. Model how to use the 3 Listening Strategies: (1) Ears Open (cup hands behind ears when teacher speaks), (2) Fingers Track (hold up 1, 2, or 3 fingers as steps are stated), and (3) Eyes Watch (watch teacher's dynamic gestures showing the classroom tool).
3
Co-Operative Target Practice (15 Minutes)
Go through guided slides. Practice 2-step modeling first, then 3-step. Have students whisper-retell the sequence to their "Partner Agent" using the scaffolded sentence stems: "First we will... then we will..." before performing the movement.
4
Active Mission Work & Exit Ticket (15 Minutes)
Distribute Clue Tracker Worksheet. Students must listen strictly to your oral instructions (see scripts on page 2) to mark and sequence tasks correctly. Complete the differentiated exit tickets to measure individual execution rate.
Agent Action Code (Gestures)
Always anchor instructions physically! When saying "Circle", draw a massive circle in the air. When saying "Write", mime scribble actions. When saying "Color", hold up a crayon color.
Teacher Cue
"Agents, Ears Up!"
