Give students a complex oral command (4-5 steps). Watch as some struggle. Explain that this isn't about intelligence—it's about "Mental RAM." Use the slides to introduce the "Sticky Note" metaphor.

Project your screen. Show a long list (e.g., "Cleaning the Classroom"). Then, show how much easier it is to look at one item in focus mode. Emphasize that checking it off "clears" the brain's buffer.

Support Strategies

Common Pitfalls
Students often write "Big Tasks." If a step takes more than 5 minutes, it's too big. Encourage them to "Micro-Step" it.

The "10-Second Countdown" (5 min)
Tell students: "I'm going to give you a locker code. You have 10 seconds to open your phone, go to Notes, and type it before I erase it from the board." Show how many fail. Then repeat, but let them record it using voice instantly.

Command Syntax Lab (15 min)
Teach the standard syntax:
Action + Task + Time/Condition.
Practice variants: "Remind me," "Set a timer," "Add to my list."

Voice vs. Keys Race (15 min)
Split class into "Talkers" and "Typers." Give a complex instruction: "Set a reminder for Friday at 4 PM to bring my shoes to the gym." Time both groups. Typers will usually struggle with spelling or app-switching; Talkers finish in seconds.

Challenge students to create a two-part sequence in one breath: "Remind me to call Mom, AND remind me to do the dishes."
Pro-Tip: Articulation
For students with speech/language challenges, remind them that they don't have to be perfect. Voice assistants are getting better at "guessing." If they struggle, encourage "Keywords" (e.g., "Reminder... Shoes... 4 PM") instead of full sentences.
