Teaching Tips for Low Vision Students
High Contrast: Ensure all practice sheets use bold, black lines (at least 2pt) on white or yellow backgrounds.
Tactile Markers: Use Puff Paint or stickers on practice sheets to provide a physical reference for the dots if the student is transitioning to full Braille.
Verbalization: Encourage the student to say the dot numbers aloud as they write or trace (e.g., "The is dots 2-3-4-6").
Contextual Practice: Always include the contraction in a word after practicing the sign in isolation.
