I Am Ready for Pre-K!
I am growing bigger every day. Soon, I will walk through the doors of my new school. School is a safe, happy place where caring teachers will help me learn, sing, paint, and make wonderful friends!

My Teachers & My Cubby
When I arrive at school, my teachers greet me with a warm smile and wave. They are kind helpers who keep our classroom safe and joyful.
I have my very own cubby labeled with my name! I hang up my jacket, put my backpack inside, and change my shoes if needed. My cubby keeps all my treasures safe.
When I see my teachers, I can say "Good morning!" or give a friendly wave.

Circle Time & Listening
When it is circle time, we sit together on our cozy rug. I sit with my legs crossed and my hands resting gently in my lap.
I turn on my listening ears and looking eyes. When a teacher or a friend talks, I listen quietly. If I want to share or need help, I raise my quiet hand!
Listening to directions keeps everyone safe and helps us learn fun games!

Using the Bathroom
Whenever my body tells me it is time to go, I tell my teacher right away: "Bathroom please!" It is always okay to ask anytime.
After using the toilet and flushing, I wash my hands at the sink. I pump soap and rub my hands with warm water while singing the ABCs. Then I dry them clean!
Clean hands wash away germs so everyone stays healthy and strong!

Snack & Water Time
At snack time, my friends and I sit together at our tables. I open my snack box or eat the classroom snack.
I stay seated in my chair, chew with my mouth closed, and drink water from my cup. Eating yummy food gives my brain and body energy to play!
When I finish my snack, I throw my napkin in the trash can.

Recess & Moving in Line
When we walk to the playground, we walk in a line with safe walking feet. Outside, I can run, climb, slide, and dig in the sand!
I practice sharing toys and taking turns with friends. If I ever feel unsure or need help, my teachers are right nearby watching over us.
Taking turns makes everyone happy and builds new friendships!

Clean Up & Going Home
When we hear the cleanup song or chime, it is time to put toys away into their homes. Everyone works as a team!
At the end of our school day, my family or caregiver always comes back to get me. I pack my backpack and wave goodbye: "See you tomorrow!"
Grown-ups always come back! I can feel proud of my day at school.
Pre-K Star! I am brave, kind, and ready for school!
