Offer extra processing time before discussions or peer sharing.
Allow movement breaks or quiet fidgets during reflection activities.
Reduce sensory overload by limiting background noise and harsh lighting when possible.
Give students the option to pass during group discussions without pressure.
Use predictable transitions with verbal countdowns and agenda reminders.
Encourage use of planners, timers, or reminder apps during the SMART goals activity.
Pair students with supportive peers for worksheet activities if desired.
Reframe “self-care” as functional support and energy management to improve engagement.
