Task: Place five red bricks onto the mat as quickly as possible.
Constraint: Before each grab, child must wait for the teacher’s “Go!” signal.
Use the Timer for a 3-minute sprint, then discuss impulse pauses.
Award tokens for each successful wait and accurate placement.
5
Reflection & Reward
6 MINS
Review stickers/tokens earned and update the Sticker Behavior Chart.
Ask the student to share what helped with focus and boundary respect.
Provide specific praise and set a simple focus goal for the next session.
Pro Tips for Tier 3
Redirection: Use non-verbal cues (pointing to the mat or tower) before verbal reminders to minimize interruption of flow.
Boundary Cues: If the student struggles with the mat, use physical masking tape to create a "LEGO Zone" that is high-contrast.
