Learning Objective
Students will identify and define the Antecedent, Behavior, and Consequence (ABC) in a given scenario and differentiate between positive/negative reinforcement and punishment.
1. The Hook: The "Good" Challenge (10 min)
Setup
Split students into pairs. Assign one as the 'Trainer' and one as the 'Subject'. The Trainer chooses a simple but specific action (e.g., placing a pencil on the floor, hopping twice). The Subject leaves the room or wears headphones while the Trainer decides.
Teacher Script
"We are going to explore how environment shapes behavior. Trainers, you have one tool: the word 'Good'. No gestures, no eye-rolls, no pointing. Subjects, your goal is to figure out what they want you to do. Go!"
