Step 1: Student Board Consensus (Complete First)
The student corporation meets as a board to evaluate each partner's Level, Amount, and Value of contribution, verify pitch criteria, and sign off together.
Step 2: Instructor Evaluation (Teacher Scoring)
The instructor evaluates the live/recorded 7–10 min pitch on Page 3, adjudicates the Shark Deal offer, and applies peer audit data to finalize grades.
1 LEVEL OF CONTRIBUTION (Historical Rigor, Quality, & Pitch Depth)
1 – 4 Points
4 • Exemplary Titan Synthesized deep historical context (integration, court rulings, labor friction). Script and visuals elevated the entire pitch; required zero peer rewriting.
3 • Proficient Partner Accurately met all assigned pitch standards (tech, business model, financials). Work was historically sound and required only standard peer polish.
2 • Basic Contributor Superficial or generalized historical claims (vague laws, undefined tech). Slide visuals or spoken lines required significant peer editing or restructuring.
1 • Deficit / Minimal Inaccurate, missing, or misleading content. Teammates had to discard, rewrite, or supply content to satisfy project requirements.
2 AMOUNT OF CONTRIBUTION (Workload Share, Slide Output, & Deadlines)
1 – 4 Points
4 • Exemplary Titan Completed well over fair share; created core presentation slides, managed timing cues, and attended every group planning session punctually.
3 • Proficient Partner Fulfilled an equitable share of research, slide preparation, and spoken lines. Reliably completed deliverables on time without reminders.
2 • Basic Contributor Completed less than an equitable share. Missed 1–2 internal deadlines or rehearsals, shifting presentation burdens onto group partners.
1 • Deficit / Minimal Negligible output. Failed to prepare assigned slides or lines; group had to present shorthanded or scramble to cover gaps during the pitch.
3 VALUE OF CONTRIBUTION (Pitch Impact, Synergy, & Negotiation)
1 – 4 Points
4 • Exemplary Titan Indispensable catalyst. Mastered the shark valuation offer, kept delivery within 7–10 minutes, fielded tough shark questions, and motivated the team.
3 • Proficient Partner Strong collaborator. Communicated clearly during pitch, rehearsed actively, supported teammates during transitions, and handled shark questions well.
2 • Basic Contributor Passive speaker. Simply read from slides; showed little initiative during pitch strategy, audience engagement, or shark deal negotiations.
1 • Deficit / Minimal Detrimental to team delivery. Unprepared, uncommunicative during the pitch, violated timing bounds, or disengaged during shark evaluation.
11 – 12 Points Distinguished Industrialist
9 – 10 Points Proficient Partner
6 – 8 Points Developing Contributor
3 – 5 Points Intervention Required
