Christian vs. Secular (Scientific) Standards

Calculating Historical Direction
Rule 1: Counting Backward BC / BCE
In BC/BCE, as you go deeper into the past, numbers get:

Therefore, a year like 2500 BCE is:

Rule 2: Counting Forward AD / CE
In AD/CE, as time marches on towards today, numbers get:

Solving the Mystery of "Circa"
Symbol: ~ or c.
The word "Circa" comes from Latin meaning:
Historians use it when they do not know the date of an event, so they use archaeological evidence to give an estimated guess.
