The main goal of all systems is to provide energy , nutrients , and defense to every cell.
Integumentary System
DEFENSE
Function 1: Protection
Acts as the body's outer layer .
Forms a boundary that protects the inside of the body.
Keeps pathogens (germs) out!
Function 2: Holding it In
It helps the body hold in water so we don't dry out.

Sense of Touch
The skin contains receptors that allow us to feel pressure, pain, and temperature.
Regulation
Sweat glands in the skin help regulate body temperature by cooling us down.
