Confusing Antecedents with Feelings

The Reliability Test
"I want you to count how many times I act 'politely' in the next five minutes."
The Problem
"Polite" is subjective. Observer A might count 3 times (smiling), while Observer B counts 10 times (every 'please' and 'thank you').
The Solution
Operational definitions ensure that two people looking at the same thing see the same data.
