History & Park Importance
Minuteman National Historic Park is located in Massachusetts. It is a very important place in American history. Long ago on April 19, 1775, a famous [ battle / picnic ] happened here. This was the first battle of the American Revolution! A brave rider named Paul Revere went on a midnight ride to warn the [ colonists / British ] that soldiers were coming. Soon, special local soldiers called [ Minutemen / Redcoats ] came from all over to fight for their freedom.
