Concentration Definition
Molarity (M) measures concentration by the number of moles of solute dissolved in exactly 1 Liter of total solution volume.
M = mol / L
Volume: mL → L
Convert milliliters to Liters. Divide by 1,000.
In: 250 mL » 0.250 L
Solute: g → mol
Convert mass to moles using the Molar Mass.
mol = grams / Molar Mass
Computation
Divide Result 02 (mol) by Result 01 (L).
Molarity = mol / L

Common Anomalies
Watch for decimal errors in mL-to-L conversions. Remind students to count sig figs on volume measurements (e.g. 750. vs 750).
Unit Consistency
Problems E and F require multiple conversions. Emphasize that final volumes in medicine and lab prep are almost always reported in mL.
