The "Technician" Evaluation
The proposed 5-6 week plan is highly effective for the Grade 10 Exploring Technology (ET10) curriculum. It shifts the focus from "complexity of code" to "clarity of engineering process."

Treat weekly milestones as hard deadlines. If a student misses Week 2, they cannot "catch up" later without compromising Week 3 logic. Grade on completion every Friday.

For Week 2, source a box of "e-waste" from your IT department. Having the physical hardware ready saves time and ensures every student has an object to teardown.

Constantly remind them: "A working calculator is better than a broken spaceship." Grade the finished state of a simple project higher than an unfinished state of a complex one.
