The Traveling Spark
Energy is everywhere, but it does not stay in one place. It loves to move! This movement is called energy transfer . For example, when you turn on a radio, electrical energy moves from the wall outlet through a wire. Inside the radio, that electricity is changed into sound energy that you can hear.
The sun is another great source of energy. It sends light energy through space to the Earth. When the light hits your skin, it transfers into heat energy, and you feel warm. Energy is never gone; it just finds a new way to move or change!
