The Golden Rule of the Fair Test
To design a fair test, you must change ONLY ONE independent variable at a time. If you alter multiple things at once, you will have no way of knowing which change actually caused your observed results!
The Variable Connector Formula
Use this fill-in-the-blank blueprint to construct perfect hypotheses. It links your independent and dependent variables cleanly:
IF we change the INDEPENDENT VARIABLE (what we alter),
THEN the DEPENDENT VARIABLE (what we measure)
