PART 1
The Big 4 Job Match
Write A, B, C, or D in each box • 8 Points
1. Controls all cell activities and holds the master instructions (DNA).
2. Turns the food you eat into usable energy for the cell.
3. Tiny building crews that make proteins so the cell can grow and heal.
4. Acts like a flexible security fence, controlling what enters and leaves.
5. Nicknamed the "brain" or "boss" because it gives orders to the cell.
6. Known as the "powerhouse" because it powers up all cellular work.
7. Super small dots floating in the cell that build helpful proteins.
8. Lets water and nutrients in, but keeps harmful trash and germs out.
PART 2
Cell City & School Match
Write the Organelle Name • 4 Points
1. Principal's Main Office
Holds all school rules, student records, and sends out school-wide announcements.
2. The City Power Plant
Generates electrical power so all lights, heaters, and machines can stay turned on.
3. The Cafeteria Kitchen Workshop
Mixes ingredients following a recipe to build nutritious food and needed supplies.
4. The Front Security Doors
Checks visitors in, unlocks doors for welcome guests, and locks out intruders.
PART 3
Cell Detective: What Part Broke Down?
Which helper failed? • 4 Points
Clue #1: A muscle cell suddenly runs completely out of energy! The cell feels tired and cannot move.
Broken Part:
Clue #2: A cell gets a scrape, but its building crews cannot make any new proteins to rebuild and heal the skin.
Broken Part:
Clue #3: A tear in the cell's outer skin allows messy waste to rush inside while healthy water leaks out!
Broken Part:
Clue #4: The cell loses its master recipe book! It gets confused and forgets how to divide into two healthy cells.

Read & Discover: Comparing Plant and Animal Cells
Both plant and animal cells are alive and share the same "Big 4" helpers: a nucleus (the brain), mitochondria (powerhouses), ribosomes (protein builders), and a cell membrane (the outer gate). But they are not completely the same! Plant cells have two special extra parts that animal cells do not have. First, plants have green chloroplasts that use sunlight, air, and water to make food. Second, plant cells have a crunchy, rigid cell wall around them that helps plants stand tall and strong without bones. Because animals can move and eat food, animal cells do not need chloroplasts or stiff cell walls!
Based on the reading, do plant and animal cells have all the same organelles?
YES, ALL THE SAME NO, THEY HAVE DIFFERENCES
