"Good morning/afternoon, everyone! Today, we're going on a 'Breeze Blast Off!' adventure to learn about some cool winds. Has anyone ever been to the beach or a big lake? What did the wind feel like there? Did it feel different at different times of the day? Turn to a partner and share your thoughts for about a minute. I'll call on a few of you to share with the whole class."

"So, during the day, cool air from the sea blows onto the land . This is your lovely sea breeze ! It's why the beach often feels cooler than inland areas on a hot day. Any questions about sea breezes?"

Scientific Explanation for Students
"During the day, the sun warms the land much faster than the ocean. This heat is transferred to the air above the land, causing it to expand and rise (creating low pressure). Cooler, denser air from over the ocean rushes in to fill that space—that's the sea breeze! At night, the process reverses because land loses its heat much faster than the water does."
