Workplace Context & Peer Challenge
Your classmate is pitching in tomorrow's regional competition. They are buried under four pages of dense product notes, research data, and technical specifications. Paralyzed by cognitive overload, they don't know what to protect and what to eliminate. Your task: coach them to audit their content ruthlessly so judges immediately understand their value proposition and care about the outcome.
The 60-Second Content Triage Protocol
Rule of Thumb: ~130–150 Spoken Words Total
Keep: The 4 Non-Negotiable Beats
- 1. The Hook & The Pain Point (0–15s) A vivid scenario or urgent question illustrating who suffers and why current alternatives fail.
- 2. Core Value Proposition (15–30s) Your single-sentence solution and its unfair advantage (what makes it 10x better, faster, or cheaper).
- 3. Target Market & Validation (30–45s) Specific primary customer and 1 piece of undeniable proof (pre-orders, user quote, pilot test data).
- 4. The Direct Call to Action (45–60s) Exactly what resource or partnership you need right now to execute the next milestone.
Judges remember clarity, emotional stakes, and momentum—not comprehensive data.
Cut: The Pitch Killers
- × Deep Architectural / Technical Weeds How the backend algorithms or manufacturing tolerances work (reserve this for technical Q&A).
- × Lengthy Origin Story & Chronology "It all started when I was brainstorming last summer..." Eat zero seconds on historical buildup.
- × Speculative 5-Year Financial Models Unverifiable projections or complex revenue waterfalls that distract from current feasibility.
- × Empty Buzzword Clutter Vague assertions like "disruptive", "cutting-edge", or "revolutionary" with no supporting metric.
If a sentence does not clarify the problem or prove your capability, cut it.

Level 3+ Self-Audit Criteria
