We do not waste memory, processing power, or mental energy on details that do not change the solution.”

Script: “Here is our list of potential details: the park's name, the meeting time, who is coming, the color of your shoes, the number of clouds in the sky, and your backpack brand. If we write all of these down, our minds are cluttered. Let us begin filtering this information.”

Script: “What are our non-negotiables? First, location. We must know which park we are going to, or we cannot arrive. Second, meeting time. If we show up at different times, we miss each other. Third, who is going. We need to know who to wait for. These three details are our core essential elements.”

Script: “Now, let us drop the noise. Why can we discard shoe colors or cloud counts? Because knowing that a friend is wearing green shoes does not change the park coordinates. Knowing there are seven clouds instead of eight does not help us gather at the entrance. These are non-essential details.”
