This sequence introduces undergraduate students to nuclear properties, scattering experiments, and the fundamental models of nuclear structure: the Liquid Drop Model and the Nuclear Shell Model. Students will transition from classical scattering data to quantum mechanical energy levels, ultimately calculating binding energies and predicting nuclear ground states.
