PART 1
Disguise Your Turkey (Do at Home)
1 Pick a Secret Identity
Brainstorm what your turkey will pretend to be. Pick something fun!
Ideas: Astronaut, pizza chef, soccer player, rockstar, doctor, plant.
2 Find Scrap Materials
Look around your home for safe everyday items to use.
Supplies: Foil, fabric scraps, buttons, yarn, dry pasta, cotton, markers.
3 Build the Costume
Cut, color, and glue your materials onto the turkey template.
Cover the feathers so it doesn't look like a bird!
PART 2
Write Your Children's Storybook
4 Make Your Book
Take 5 to 7 sheets of paper, fold them in half like a hamburger, and staple the folded edge to make a mini booklet.
Include a Cover Page with title & your name.
5 Words & Pictures
Every page must have:
- 1-3 clear sentences
- A colorful illustration
- Easy words for young kids
6 The Big Ending!
Your final page must answer the big question:
Did the disguise work? Or was the turkey discovered?
3 Golden Rules for Success: 1. Use clear, simple sentences. 2. Color every picture neatly. 3. Make sure the turkey template is fully covered and disguised!
