Warm-Up: Guess Who?

Use simple clues about students (e.g., "This person is wearing a blue shirt") and have students guess who you are describing.
Introduce the idea that instead of saying their name, we can use 'he' or 'she'.

TEACHER: "Good morning, everyone! Let's start our day with a fun game called 'Guess Who?' . I'm going to give you some clues about one of our friends, and you guess who I'm talking about!"
TEACHER: "This person is wearing a red shirt today." (Pause for guesses) "Yes, it's [Student Name]!"
TEACHER: "This person loves to sing and has beautiful curly hair." (Pause for guesses) "You got it, it's [Another Student Name]!"
TEACHER: "Now, instead of saying their names every time, sometimes we use little helper words. For a boy, we might say 'he'. For a girl, we might say 'she'. Today, we're going to learn about these special helper words called pronouns !"
