Story Sleuths

Clue Catchers

Students are introduced to the detective theme and learn to dissect a story into characters, setting, and beginning, middle, and end events. Using tactile clue cards and sorting mats, students extract and organize key narrative elements from a lively classroom mystery.

Timeline Trackers

Students deepen their chronological sequencing skills by mapping story events using transition words (first, next, then, finally) and filtering out minor distractor details. Through hands-on timeline strip sorting, students construct accurate narrative timelines.

Story Trail Quest

Students synthesize their recalling and sequencing abilities into a cooperative board game and partner retelling challenge. Equipped with detail prompt fans and story cards, students demonstrate comprehensive mastery through verbal and written retells.
