Structure 10 Points Max
Masterfully organized into exactly 5 paragraphs: a clear introduction, three distinct body paragraphs, and a synthesis conclusion.
Contains 5 paragraphs, but transitions between them are slightly choppy, or contains 4 well-organized paragraphs.
Lacks a clear paragraph structure; unorganized layout with fewer than 4 paragraphs or random paragraph breaks.
3 Topics 10 Points Max
Deeply compares both Greece and Rome across exactly 3 distinct, well-developed historical topics (e.g. government, daily life).
Compares both civilizations but only fully develops 2 topics, or addresses 3 topics with uneven analysis.
Covers only 1 or 2 topics superficially, or fails to compare the two societies directly with historical evidence.
Conventions 10 Points Max
Excellent academic syntax. Virtually free of spelling, punctuation, or grammar errors (0-2 minor issues).
Occasional errors in grammar, mechanics, or spelling are present but do not disrupt readability or comprehension.
