Gus has a big pup, Rex. Rex is fast and runs in the sun. Gus packs his lunch in six tin boxes. He puts red plums and fresh figs in the boxes. Then, Gus sets his lunch on log benches by the shed.
Rex sits on the grass and spots a bug. The bug buzzes past his wet black nose. Rex jumps up and snaps at it! Just then, two red foxes step from the thick bushes. One fox rushes to the bench and grabs a plum.
The fox drops the plum on a stack of flat dishes. The dishes clang, and a tin cup crashes on the rocks! Rex yaps and dashes to the shed. He runs at the foxes past six big logs.
Gus runs to the path and catches Rex. Rex stops and licks his hand. Gus checks his pup and pats his back. Next, Gus fixes the bent tin cup. He washes the tin dishes in a big tub. At last, Gus sits on the bench and munches on his lunch.
