Educator Facilitation & Game Rules
1 Room Prep & Setup
Cut cards ahead of time. Place a tray or basket at each table with accessible classroom items (crayons, paperclips, markers, small blocks, rulers).
2 Sound Hunt Gameplay
Children pick a letter card, pronounce the letter name and target sound, then search their basket or room to find an item beginning with that sound.
3 Differentiation Tiers
Support: Pre-select 4 distinct sounds (M, S, T, B).
Challenge: Have students hunt for items ending with the consonant sound!
