Story 1: The Melted Mistake
Leo was so excited to open his lemonade stand on the hottest Saturday of the summer. He had the ice, the cups, and the perfect spot by the park. At first, everything went great. Many neighbors stopped by for a cold drink!
Then, a big problem happened. The sun got even hotter, and all of Leo’s ice melted into water! "Oh no!" Leo cried. "Nobody wants warm lemonade." He felt like giving up and going inside. But then, he saw his friend Maya. She had a cooler full of frozen fruit.
"Use these instead of ice!" Maya suggested. Leo put the frozen berries in the cups. The lemonade stayed cold and looked beautiful. By the end of the day, Leo had sold every single cup. He was so glad he didn't quit!
Text 2: Keeping Cool in Summer
Summer heat can be dangerous if you are not careful. When the temperature rises, our bodies need help staying cool. Drinking plenty of water is the most important thing you can do. You should also try to stay in the shade or use fans.
Many people enjoy cold treats like popsicles or chilled fruit during the summer. These snacks are fun, but they also help lower your body temperature. If you feel dizzy or very tired, it is a sign that you need to go inside and rest in a cool place immediately.
