Newcomers & Pre-Production (Silent Period)
Support: Direct student to Word Adventure Sheet. Ask them to trace lines and point. Accept head nods, gesturing, and single-word responses.

Early Production (Short Phrases)
Support: Direct student to Sentence Builder Activity. Prompt them using either/or questions: "Is the turtle big or small?" Prompt them to copy words from the visual bank.

Speech Emergence (Expanding Sentences)
Support: Challenge students using Partner Talk Cards. Encourage them to speak in complete sentences using sentence frames: "I think the animal is... because..."
