Introduction script: "Welcome back, Habitat Heroes! Today we are exploring the deep, green forest. We will look closely at words with the silent, magic E. Magic E is quiet, but it gives all its power to the middle vowel to make it say its alphabet name!"
Scaffolding for Sentence Writing: If a student struggles to write their sentence, provide this visual frame: "The [noun] will [verb] in the forest." Have them fill in the blanks orally before pick up their pencils.
Error Correction: If a student reads "pine" as "pin", say: "Cover the E. What is the word? (pin). Now uncover the E. The magic E makes the I say its name. Read it again! (pine)."
