1. Opening & Oracy Activation (8 Min) Table Image Cards
Teacher Script: "Bakers, look at your table cards! Turn to your shoulder partner. Point to one ingredient and one tool. Say: 'This is the... We use it to...'"
Oracy Routine: Model with an egg card: "This is an egg. It is yellow and white." Have students repeat in chorus. Have 3 partner pairs share out.
2. Mini-Lesson: Words into Sentences (12 Min) Slides & Anchor Chart
Think-Aloud Modeling: Display the whisk and bowl slides. Show how words become descriptive phrases: "whisk" → "wire whisk" → "We use the silver wire whisk to mix the batter."
Anchor Chart Build: Co-create a two-column anchor chart on the board: Ingredients (Food) vs. Tools (Utensils) with sensory adjectives (sweet, fluffy, cold, hot, metal, big).

3. Guided Practice: Card Match & Sentence Choral (7 Min) Whole Group to Pairs
1. Call out an action: "Which tool mixes the batter?" Students hold up the whisk or spoon card.
2. Introduce the sentence frame on slide 4: "The baker has a ______ ______." (adjective + noun).
3. Practice choral speaking: "The baker has a big bowl." "The baker has sweet sugar."
