Coyote Steals Fire Word Count: 76
Long ago, the Fire Beings kept fire hidden on a high mountain. The animals were cold and shivering. Coyote wanted to help. He told the animals to line up along the trail. Coyote ran up the mountain and waited until the Fire Beings slept. He grabbed a burning brand and ran! As the Fire Beings chased him, Coyote passed the fire to Squirrel, who passed it to Frog, until Wood swallowed the spark. Wood still holds fire today.
