The 5-Minute Golden Rule
Short, playful moments beat long drills every time! Practice for just 5 to 7 minutes daily while cooking dinner, riding in the car, or getting ready for bed. Keep it light, cheerful, and full of high-fives.
Skill 1: Keep Letter Sounds "Pure" & Crisp
Say This, Not That
When letters add an extra "uh" at the end (like saying "buh" instead of /b/), blending words becomes tricky. Clip sounds short and clean!
M m
Continuous sound
"Mmm" like yum
Avoid "muh"
S s
Hissing sound
"Sss" like snake
Avoid "suh"
T t
Quick stop sound
/t/ light tap
Avoid "tuh"
B b
Quick pop sound
/b/ crisp release
Avoid "buh"
