The Lunchbox Disaster
Bill was a hard-working construction worker at the city center skyscraper . It was a sunny afternoon , and Bill was very hungry. When it was finally lunchtime , he opened his backpack and pulled out a giant sourdough loaf. He wanted to build an unbelievable sandwich.
First, Bill spread a mountain of ham on the bread. Next, he added prehistoric sized slices of cheese. He was very careful not to drop anything. But suddenly, the wind began to blow. A powerful gust knocked his sandwich right off the worktable !
The sandwich landed in a pile of sunlight and sawdust. Bill was very unhappy . Luckily, his helpful teammate, Sarah, saw what happened. She replayed the event in her head and decided to share her own peanut butter sandwich with him. Bill was thankful for his kind friend.
