Structural Manual
THE RULES
1
Get the Base
We start with a tiny 2-word foundation: just a Noun and a Verb.
2
Add Materials
Each level gives you new pieces: adjectives, adverbs, phrases, and custom clauses.
3
Maintain Stability
Keep the grammar stable. No run-on walls, no fragment collapses.
Ready to test your design limits? Let's start building! Level 1 Next →

Choose Phrase Materials:
Prepositional Phrase
Shows location/time: "under the full moon"
Participial Phrase

🔨 Now assemble yours. Make it dramatic!
SYSTEM STABILITY: 92% (High Complexity) LEVEL 3/4
Anchors
The Conjunction Connection Kits
STRUCTURAL LINKING TOOLS
Equal Links
Coordinating (FANBOYS)
Joins two independent clauses together. Always use a comma before the conjunction!
For
And
Nor
But
Or
Yet
So
Model: "The bell rang**, so** they left."
Subjective Links
Subordinating (Safety Anchors)
Creates a dependent clause that cannot stand alone. Put a comma after it if it starts the sentence!
Because Although While Since If When
Model: "Because the bell rang, they left."
Combining Drill: Join "The sky grew dark." and "It started to rain." in your notes using both types!
Level 4
The Boundary Wall
CLAUSE TYPES & SAFETY
Safety Warning:
Avoid Structural Collapse!
Do not leave fragments hanging. Do not let two independent clauses run together without safety anchors (conjunctions or punctuation).
Conjunction Anchors:
Although Because While Since
Raw Fragment:
"The alarm rang."
Connect an Independent Clause to a Dependent Clause to make a safe, high-scoring sentence!
Example: "Although it was only dawn, the alarm rang persistently."
👉 Expand: Create your own secure double-clause build!
SYSTEM STABILITY: DANGEROUS BOUNDARY LEVEL 4/4
The Inspector's Audit
FINAL REVIEW
Before Submitting Your Blueprint:
Core Elements Present?
Does every build have a clear subject and functioning predicate?
Precise Placement?
Are adjectives and adverbs directly next to the terms they modify?
Punctuation Anchored?
Did you separate introductory clauses or lists with correct commas?

Lesson Blueprint Overview
This game refreshes student memory on sentence structures. Students use the Sentence Blueprint Worksheet alongside the projected slides. Sheet 2 includes a rapid-fire Drill Site for extra parts-of-speech reinforcement.
Pacing Breakdown
- • Level 1-2: 5 Mins
- • Drill Site: 3 Mins
- • Level 3-4: 4 Mins
- • Showcase: 3 Mins
Level-by-Level Blueprint Delivery
LEVEL 1 // FOUNDATION & DRILLS
Focus on core parts of speech. Have students locate where modifiers sit. Use the Drill Site (Slide 3.5 / Sheet 2) for immediate rapid-fire practice to build fluency.
LEVEL 2 // LOAD-BEARING WALLS
Identify the direct object (the receiver of the action). Watch for subject-verb agreement if students choose to make the subject plural (e.g., "The astronauts launch...").
LEVEL 3 // ARCHITECTURAL FEATURES
Introduce advanced structures. Model the placement of a introductory participial phrase (e.g., "Gliding silently, the owl..."). Remind students to use a comma after introductory phrases.
LEVEL 4 // THE BOUNDARY WALL
Focus heavily on clauses. Ensure students do not commit run-on errors (e.g., joining two independent clauses with just a comma). Check for dependent clauses that are stranded as fragments.
Structural Failures to Watch For
Dangling Modifiers:
"Running up the hill, the sunrise was gorgeous." (The sunrise wasn't running up the hill!). Ensure modifiers relate clearly to the subject.
Run-On Collapses:
"The alarm rang, I got out of bed." (Comma splice error). Emphasize using semicolons or coordinating/subordinating conjunctions.
Architect's Showcase Suggestion
Ask three students to read their completed Level 4 sentence aloud. Have the class diagram or map the clauses on the chalkboard.
